Valentine's Day Countdown Day #1 Blog Hop

Reflections layouts with a "Magic" touch!

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Valentine's Day Countdown!

Every day from now until February 14th you can see all NEW artwork featuring Close To My Heart products created by consultants from all over the United States and Canada! All consultants will be using thumbnail pictures which link directly to their blogs so you can stop by DAILY and visit with all the participants.

This is my first blog hop so leave some love!! I've been so excited to see my fellow consultants' work, I could hardly wait! If you've been following my posts, you can certainly tell - I've given away half my surprises early!

I am SOOO excited for the Wings Workshop later this month, February 22-26th! (If you want in there is still time to order your kit by contacting me today at 801.910.8698 or slvrlinin@myctmh.com.) This is swiftly becoming my most favorite paper pack! I've seen all types of possibilities for it - Christmas, Sympathy, Heritage, BFF's - and of course Valentine's Day.

This is the third set of layouts on my sister-in-law's wedding. When I saw the photos waiting in my bin, I knew Wings was PERFECT! Let me know what you think? Leave some LOVE!

I've used Wings, the Blue and Green Sparkles pack, Black, Sweet Leaf and Vineyard Berry inks, Vineyard Berry and Black Floral Bulk Ribbons, Black and Pewter Mini-Medley embellishments, staples and the brand-new Bohemian Alphabet. The sentiment is from Flutter, a retired set, but one of my very favs.

Ribbon rose and accents.

Title is in Bohemian alpha and the sentiment is a retired set.

Magic Door for journaling. You can see how to make your layouts interactive with our new pattern book, the aptly named "Magic."

Journal subtitles.

Journaling - 2nd page in the "book."

Please continue on to the Linky Party and check out some more fabulous artwork from my fellow consultants!

Warm Wishes,

It's a Mayberry Birthday

This week at Crafty Wednesday, my good friend, Yvonne Wickham (who introduced me to Close To My Heart) presented me with this beautiful card and bookmark for my upcoming birthday. I was so surprised and delighted! She's a fellow consultant and one of my team and just another person I've been blessed to meet through my business.

This card features the Mayberry kit that will debut in the brand new Spring/Summer Idea Book February 1st. You can get your own book now by calling or emailing me; or check it out live on my website this Tuesday!

The bookmark is just darling and made from a washer, some B&T, glitter and Liquid Glass. Fantabulous! Thank you, Yvonne, for the lovely gifts!

Warmly,
Trisha

Banner Workshop & Team Meeting

I had such a great time this last weekend with my Close To My Heart team! My upline, Karen Pedersen designed this darling banner for us to make using the new My Creations Banner just released in the January Inspirations brochure. It's also a preview of what's to come in the new Spring/Summer Idea Book that is live for customers Feb. 1st! If you haven't got your book yet, come on over to Crafty Wednesday tomorrow night at 6pm and pick one up or call me at 801.910.8698 or email me at slvrlinin@myctmh.com today! You don't want to miss this one. It's our best yet! Now on to the ART!

My pal, Yvonne, and I are going to do a workshop in late Feb/early Mar where you can make one of these banners Dirt Cheap! These are great for your home to liven it up for Spring. On the front is stamped "Spring" with our brand new Bohemian alphabet and on the back with slightly different colors is "Summer". Should be priced around $9 and totally worth it as you can keep it on display 6 months out of the year! Man, I love a good deal! It's awesome!

Stay tuned for details on this and more from the new Semi-Annual Idea Book. I hope to see you in the craft room tomorrow! Call me!

Warmly,

Trish

True Love - Wings

I've been playing with Wings a little more, doing my Valentine's projects for the upcoming bloghop and I just had to share this layout! I LOVE the way this turned out - so stinkin' cute! I'm not going to have anything to post for the hop because I keep giving them all away early!

My older sister, ShaDell, finally met the man of her dreams a few years ago and married him fast! Lol! They were friends for a long time and lost track of each other. Several winding roads later, their paths intersected again and they knew that spark for what it was and fell headlong into love.

I was so excited to be asked to take their engagement photos and they were such a delight to photograph. Such fresh love just radiates - and still does! When I ran across these photos last night I knew Wings was the ticket for the layout I wanted to try.

I also used the new Bohemian alphabet featured in the January Inspirations brochure, Dimensional Elements Hearts chipboard, new Black Mini-Medley accessory set and My Acrylix Treasures, D1375.

I want to thank Karen Pedersen as she inspired me with her layouts. Check out her blog because she always has such beautiful work! You can find it in the column on the right.

Warm wishes,

Paper Berry Topiary

I finally finished my fall project, lol! I started this in September as a decoration for Christmas. Honestly where does the time go? ;-)

This started as a brainstorm after looking at the prices on things at the local home decor shop. I thought wouldn't these been COOLER made out of paper (not to mention cheaper, too)?

To make the berries, spray a 2" square of Cranberry cardstock with My Acrylix Spritz stamp cleaner. This will give your paper an extra 'crisp' hold that water won't. Now crumple the square into a ball and let dry.

The berries are adhered to the foam mold with Liquid Glass. I covered the stick with brown b&t from Passages and shredded and curled the same paper for the 'moss'.

Voila! That's it! Now I didn't have quite the overall look I wanted with mine so I sponged some Cranberry ink over the finished project to POP the color.

I'm thinking it's going to look pretty good on the mantle for Valentine's Day, too! *Smile*

Warm winter wishes,
