August Play Date Layout {Sweetheart}

This was an unusual year for school portraits. Dad has been at home in the mornings while Mom is at work, so Brook's 6 ft of hair has been a bit of a challenge! Usually a ponytail is good for both and on this occasion we completely forgot picture day the first time around! (Purple)

The second time in spring we planned and rolled her hair in curlers the night before. I thought it would be easy to just run fingers through the curls and pin the bangs with a snappy barrette. Silly Mom! Dad didn't know what to do after the curlers were out and both he and Brook pronounced it beautiful and away she went! Mom was a little surprised when they came in but they are cute nonetheless!

Next month we'll be making this layout for $8 at our Play Dates, Tues. August 23, Thurs. August 25, or Sat. August 27 at 630 pm or Sat. August 27 at 10 am. Sign up for your spot today! Kits need to be purchased by Sat. July 30th. This is the end of the idea book so we won't be able to order after the last day in July. Don't forget to order your must-haves because this is your last chance before the new Autumn/Winter Idea Book opens to customers on the 1st! Come to class and get your new Idea Book and see the projects for the next months! Bring a friend to class and YOU get your 10th kit free! Call, text or email me today to reserve your place in class!

Warm wishes,
Trisha

A Fanfare Birthday

I've been trying to go through my old prints and finally get them scrapbooked. It's amazing how many times I've jumped over these pictures because they were more CARS. Now, don't get me wrong, I like cars, especially fast ones! There was a time however, when Brandon and I first met (before kids, lol!) when our whole life centered around cars and dogs. Oh, the simple times! Lol! I just got so sick of trying to find a cute page for essentially the same thing. (Pre-CTMH and our wonderful pattern books!) I guess these must have gotten buried in the box for a few years, but that's ok, because they were ready to shine with Fanfare!

I will confess this layout has been giving me fits for two months. I've had a hard time coming up with the right embellishment mix - always my dilemma. I think I finally hit on it though. What do you think?

I used Fanfare papers and the blue button collection for embellies and then added some Cricut letters and a banner (LOVE this look, still). On the Cranberry banner, I stamped the HAPPY from the Classmate Alphabet in Versamark and then heat embossed with White Daisy. I added a little 3D foam tape to make them stand up and then tied them with Waxy Flax.

Thanks for stopping by!

Warm wishes,

Close To My Heart and Cricut

...together... forever! What a perfect match made in heaven! If you don't have a Cricut, this is the number one reason to get one! With Convention in Disneyland ending yesterday, I finally have time to give you more updates on what we can expect from our new totally gorgeous Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book! So did you get it? Yep, that's right! We've paired up with Provo Craft to bring you an exclusive Cricut Cartridge available August 1st in the new Idea Book! The Art philosophy cartridge offers over 700 images to cut, resulting in over 32,000 design options and the best part is it matches several of our new My Acrylix stamp sets! No more fussy cutting!! Just cut and stamp for a perfect match every time! Check out this video just released to learn more about what you can no longer live without! Lol!

So, you heard we have a fabulous cartridge and now you know firsthand how great this is going to be. It's the next best thing after Clear stamps! And speaking of stamps, not only do we have several new Autumn and Winter sets debuting in the new Idea Book, but they are CHEAPER! Yep, price reductions across the board on all stamps and it's AMAZING! Here's the deets:

A-size sets are now $7.95
B-size sets $9.95
C-size sets $13.95
D-size sets $17.95
E-size sets $29.95

Along with this, the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) program has been revamped and it's even easier to get your exclusive set every month! Since all SOTM's are D-sized, their retail value is now marked at only $17.95. So you can still buy it outright at the new lower price. You can also earn it for $5 with only a $50 purchase (StudioJ.com orders do not count but memberships do!)

I can't believe the wonderful new products and the changes in store for us starting August 1st! If you would like your very own Idea Book, please contact me today!
